SweetSpot

Support and privacy

SweetSpot records badminton string tone from the sound of string-bed taps. Compare frequency readings on the same racket and setup over time, with provisional tension estimates where the model supports them.

Support

Email support@ascentrepricer.com for help, bug reports, purchase questions, or measurement feedback. Include your iPhone model, SweetSpot version, string/gauge, and what happened. Diagnostic exports are optional; review them before sending.

Measuring

Use a quiet room, keep the racket still, place the phone close to the racket head, and pause between taps. Recording completes after three consistent detected taps; extra taps may be needed. Use the actual string gauge and head shape. Results marked Retry cannot be saved.

Free history and Pro

Free includes one racket profile, a baseline, and your latest three free readings. Replacing an older free reading requires confirmation. Pro unlocks unlimited profiles/history, comparison, and CSV history exports through the existing sweetspot.premium one-time purchase. Prices are shown by the App Store in your region. Restore purchases from the Pro tab using the Apple Account that owns the purchase. Purchased or legacy history is not deleted when Pro is temporarily unavailable.

Measurement accuracy

Pound values come from a provisional model, not independently verified string-bed tension. High signal confidence requires consistent taps and confirmation from both frequency detectors on each counted tap; Medium may have partial detector confirmation and remains a usable reading. Neither label proves pound accuracy. The machine setting at a restring is not the same as a measurement of the string bed's current tension.

Where the conversion model is flat or otherwise unsuitable, SweetSpot shows Tone only instead of a precise pound value. You can still save the frequency and compare it with a baseline. For meaningful comparisons, keep the racket, strings, gauge, head shape, and measurement conditions consistent. A restring starts a new baseline.

Privacy policy

This policy describes SweetSpot 1.10. Updated 3 November 2026.

Microphone and saved readings

The microphone is used only while you record a measurement. Audio is processed on your device, is not saved as an audio file, and is not uploaded by SweetSpot. Racket profiles, saved readings, and baselines stay on this device. Delete individual readings and profiles in the app. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings.

Optional diagnostics and exports

Field-test diagnostics are off by default. If enabled, up to 300 attempts, including retries, and 1,000 activity events are stored locally. They can include racket details, notes, reference machine settings, phone model, system/app version, and measurement timing. No raw audio is stored. There is no automatic upload or developer analytics server. Clear diagnostics or turn diagnostics off to delete the log without deleting saved readings.

CSV exports and support messages leave your device only when you choose to share or send them. Review notes and attachments before sharing. Your selected destination, email provider, and recipients process what you send. Contact support with questions or requests about correspondence you have chosen to send; do not send payment card details or Apple Account passwords.

Purchases and reminders

Apple handles purchases and restores through StoreKit. SweetSpot checks the Pro entitlement and does not receive your payment card details. Apple processes purchase information under its own privacy policy. Reminders are optional local notifications; permission is requested only when you enable them, and they can be disabled in the app or iOS Settings.

Advertising and tracking

Version 1.10 contains no advertising SDK or third-party analytics. SweetSpot does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Earlier app versions may contain Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform for advertising privacy choices. This page describes the updated app; consult Google's privacy policy for its handling of data in earlier releases.
